We collect from local schools in our brand-new electric minibus, serve healthy hot meals and fill every session with fun, educational activities — with a multi-sports centre, park and playground right on our doorstep.

Based at Concord Sports Centre on Shiregreen Lane in Sheffield S5, Happy Hearts is a friendly, community-rooted out-of-school club with a premium venue that most clubs can only dream of. Children enjoy multi-sport facilities, a large surrounding park and playground, nutritious hot meals every day, and safe transport in our brand-new electric minibus. Whether you need early morning cover, reliable school pickups, a place during holidays or the occasional drop-in, we make family life easier — and a lot more fun.

Where is Happy Hearts Out of School Club located?
We’re based at Concord Sports Centre, Shiregreen Lane, Sheffield S5 6AE. It’s a premium multi-sports venue surrounded by a large park with a children’s playground — giving our children access to a fantastic range of physical activities and outdoor space. We’re easily accessible from Shiregreen, Firth Park, Wincobank, Parson Cross, Longley, Southey, Pitsmoor, Grenoside, Ecclesfield and Chapeltown.
Which local schools do you collect children from?
We collect from a number of primary schools across the S5 area and its neighbouring postcodes using our brand-new electric minibus. Please get in touch with the specific school your child attends and we’ll confirm whether we already run a pickup there or can arrange one.
How do you transport the children?
We’ve invested in a brand-new electric minibus for the safe and comfortable transportation of children between school and our setting at Concord Sports Centre. It’s clean, quiet and environmentally friendly — giving parents complete peace of mind.
What ages do you care for?
We are registered to care for children aged 5 up to 17. Please get in touch to discuss your child’s specific needs and we’ll be happy to help.
What are your opening hours?
Breakfast Club runs Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 08:45. After-School / Wraparound Care runs Monday to Friday, 15:00 – 18:30. Holiday Club runs Monday to Thursday, 08:00 – 18:00 during school holidays. Drop & Play Sessions are available by arrangement between 16:00 – 18:00.
How much does it cost?
Drop & Play Sessions are £12.00 per session. For regular breakfast, after-school and holiday club places, fees depend on the pattern of sessions you need. Please get in touch via the enquiry form or call 07729 422237 for a friendly, tailored quote.
Can I pay using Tax-Free Childcare or childcare vouchers?
Yes — we accept a range of standard UK childcare payment schemes including Tax-Free Childcare and major childcare voucher providers. Please ask for our provider details when you enquire so you can set us up on your account.
Do you provide food and what kind?
Yes — and we’re proud of our commitment to healthy eating. We serve nutritious hot meals, minimising the use of ultra-processed food and sugary snacks. At Breakfast Club children enjoy a healthy hot breakfast. After-school sessions include a wholesome hot meal and drinks. During Holiday Club we provide hot meals, snacks and drinks throughout the day.
How do you keep children safe?
Safeguarding is our top priority. We operate from the secure Concord Sports Centre with controlled entry, full staff DBS checks, up-to-date first aid and safeguarding training, clear collection procedures and a registered arrivals/departures log. Our electric minibus ensures safe transport between schools and our setting. Staff ratios follow current statutory guidance.
What activities do the children do?
Thanks to our base at Concord Sports Centre, children enjoy an incredible range of activities — multi-sports in the sports hall, outdoor play in the surrounding park and playground, plus arts and crafts, baking, reading, role-play, construction, team games and themed project work. The programme is age-appropriate, stimulating and designed around the children’s own interests.
Do I need to book regular sessions in advance?
Yes — we ask parents to book regular weekly sessions in advance so we can plan staffing and activities safely. Occasional and ad-hoc sessions can often be accommodated subject to availability; please ring us to check.
What happens on inset days and school closures?
On school inset days and short-notice closures we aim to open for the full holiday-club day (08:00 – 18:00) where there is demand. Let us know as soon as your school confirms a closure so we can reserve a place.
